Kidbrooke Focus

Kidbrooke Focus is a registered charity (charity number 1145693) and a company limited by guarantee (company number 7841238). It was born out of the partnership of three Christian organisations committed to building community within Kidbrooke Village.

The key partners of Kidbrooke Focus are St James’ Church, Greenwich Youth for Christ and Superkidz Community Trust. Kidbrooke Focus has a strong track record of working in the area since being formed as Ferrier Focus in 2001. Kidbrooke Focus and its partner organisations have each built up a reputation for being a positive local presence, developing successful projects and commanding respect in the community.

Kidbrooke Village is one of the most ambitious regeneration schemes in London. Starting several years ago and continuing over the next ten to fifteen years, thousands of homes will be built – in squares, around courtyards, in apartment blocks and streets. A new village for London will be created providing a hub of retail and leisure facilities developed by Berkeley Homes in partnership with Greenwich Council and the Homes and Communities Agency.

However, a new village requires much more than new homes. Kidbrooke Focus is committed to building and developing relationships amongst the new residents as well as creative partnerships among local organisations. We want to build a real sense of community here.

Kidbrooke Focus has worked in partnership with Greenwich Council, Berkeley Homes and Southern Housing Group to develop and refurbish the former Ferrier Youth Club premises to create the OneSpace Youth and Community Centre; a purpose designed centre with both indoor and outdoor facilities allowing for a rich combination of recreational and educational opportunities. It is a vibrant and welcoming facility serving the local community with a particular focus on children, young people and their families.
