St. James’ Church

  • Kidbrooke Village is in the parish of St. James’ Church, Kidbrooke. In 1974, St James ‘planted’ the Holy Spirit Church in the Ferrier Estate and it has been a vital hub for much of the mission and vision of the work on the estate. It has welcomed all members of the community through a regular programme of Sunday services, midweek coffee bars and activities and ongoing pastoral support.
  • Holy Spirit Church closed on 13th November 2011. However, St. James’ Church is committed to continuing to work in this part of its parish with the new community of Kidbrooke Village and Church@OneSpace is now meeting at OneSpace.
  • The Diocese of Southwark and its Bishop, the Right Revd. Christopher Chessun, support this project, demonstrated by the Diocese signing the lease for the building.
